The Cold Dish is named for the oldest observation in the ethics of vengeance: that time changes the nature of the act. What feels urgent at the moment of injury rarely feels the same 90 days later. Sometimes it feels more important. Often, it feels different. The Cold Dish is built around this.
The 90-day aging period is not a waiting period. It is the product. During those 90 days, the engagement is designed, refined, reviewed, and prepared. The client is not asked to wait. The engagement is simply not complete until the time has passed. This is a feature, not a constraint.
Most clients tell us that when delivery arrives, they have changed. The engagement has not. That gap — between who commissioned it and who received it — is, in our experience, the most honest part of the whole process.

A note on early delivery requests:
We receive these. We decline all of them. The 90-day minimum is not negotiable, cannot be expedited, and does not respond to urgency. If you feel that timing is of the essence, we recommend The Proportional Response instead. Urgency and The Cold Dish are philosophically incompatible.
